This is a short (about 10–12 minutes) study of visual perception. You will look at simple cartoon scenes. In most scenes, one object slowly changes — its colour, brightness, size, position, orientation, or it fades in or out. Your task is to press Space as soon as you notice any change, then click the object that changed, then say how confident you are. Some scenes contain no change.
Your key presses and their timing, where you click, your confidence ratings, a short questionnaire (age band, vision, prior exposure), and technical details of your browser and display (viewport size, pixel ratio, frame timing). No name, email, or IP address is stored. You receive a random identifier which you can use to withdraw and have your data deleted.
This platform is a research prototype. No ethics-board approval is claimed. Formal data collection for research will only begin once institutional requirements are met; until then the site runs in demo mode and stores nothing server-side. See the methods page for details.
